Three Ladies From SLN Distinguished Themselves In The History Of Naval Diving

The certificate awarding ceremony of Basic Diver Module (Lady Officers and Women Sailors) 01/2022 came in to culmination with a high note on 24th September 2022 at Diving School premises. The ceremony was graced by the commandant, Commodore KDDC Fernando, RSP, USP, rcds.

The first batch of lady officers and women sailors consisted with two(02) lady officers and one (01) woman sailor, who completed the Basic Diver Module were awarded with the certificates by the Commandant, Naval and Maritime Academy on successful completion of their training. They will mark the history of Naval Diving as the first group of naval ladies who had distinguished themselves as qualified in diving.

During the training they were able to undergo theoretical and practical knowledge on diving in a successful and effective manner so that they could build up their professionalism on diving, which moulded them to serve Sri Lanka Navy as naval ladies with pride and dignity.
