FORMER NAVY SPECIALIST RESTORES KEY TRAINING SIMULATORS AT NAVAL & MARITIME ACADEMY

 

Leading Seaman DMAS Chamara (Retd), the original inventor of several training simulators at the Naval & Maritime Academy (NMA), recently completed a technical mission to restore and upgrade the academy’s critical training infrastructure.

During his stay at the NMA, Leading Seaman DMAS Chamara (Retd), focused primarily on the rectification and inspection of key simulator systems. He successfully restored the Small Arms Firing Simulator to full operational capability and resolved several technical issues affecting the Fast Attack Craft (FAC) Simulator. Demonstrating his strong goodwill towards the Sri Lanka Navy, Leading Seaman DMAS Chamara (Retd), provided these specialized services entirely free of charge. He has also pledged to continue providing voluntary support for the maintenance and upgrading of the NMA’s simulation equipment to meet evolving operational requirements.

Beyond his technical restoration work, the veteran seaman also delivered a motivational address to the current Sailor Under Trainees of NMA at the Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda Main Auditorium on 26 September 2026. At the conclusion of the event, the Training Captain presented a memento to, Leading Seaman DMAS Chamara (Retd), in recognition of his valuable contribution.

පුහුණු සමාකෘති කිහිපයක මුල් නිපැයුම්කරු විසින් පුහුණූ සමාකෘති ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණය හා වැඩිදියුණු කිරීමේ වැඩස‍ටහනක් නාවික හා සාගරික විද්‍යාපීඨය තුලදී සිදු කරන ලදි

 

‍නාවික හා සාගරික විද්‍යාපීඨයේ පුහුණු සමාකෘති කිහිපයක මුල් නිපැයුම්කරු වන නායක නැවි ඩීඑම්ඒඑස් චාමර (විශ්‍රාමික), විසින් එම පුහුණූ සමාකෘති ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණය හා වැඩිදියුණු කිරීමේ වැඩස‍ටහනක් නාවික හා සාගරික විද්‍යාපීඨය තුලදී සිදු කරන ලදි.

ඔහු විසින් පුහුණු සමාකෘති නිවැරදි කිරීම සහ පරීක්‍ෂා කිරීම කෙරෙහි ප්‍රධාන වශයෙන් අවධානය යොමු කළ අතර, කුඩා අවි වෙඩි තැබීමේ පුහුණු සමාකෘතිය සම්පූර්ණයෙන් ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණය කළ අතර, වේග ප්‍රහාරක යාත්‍රා පුහුණූ සමාකෘතිය ඇති තාක්ෂණික ගැටළු කිහිපයක් නැවත සකස් කරන ලදි. තවද, ඉදිරියේදී ඉදි කිරීමට සැලසුම් කර ඇති පුහුණූ සමකෘති සඳහා ඔහුගේ ස්වේච්ඡා දායකත්වය ලබා දීමට පොරොන්දු විය.

එසේම නායක නැවි ඩීඑම්ඒඑස් චාමර (විශ්‍රාමික), විසින් 2026 සැප්තැම්බර් 26 වන දින අද්මිරාල් වසන්ත කරන්නාගොඩ ප්‍රධාන ශ්‍රවණාගාරයේදී පුහුණූ වන නාවිකයින් සඳහා අභිප්‍රේරණ දේශනයක් ද පැවැත්වීය. දෙශණය අවසානයේ, පුහුණු කපිතාන් නිලධාරිතුමා විසින් ඔහු ශ්‍රී ලංකා නාවික හමුදාව වෙත සිදු කල වටිනා සේවය අගයමින් ඔහු හට සමරු තිළිණයක් ප්‍රදානය කරන ලදී.

கடற்படை மற்றும் கடல்சார் அகாதமியில் உள்ள பல பயிற்சி சிமுலேட்டர்களின் அசல் கண்டுபிடிப்பாளரான, ஓய்வுபெற்ற முன்னணி மாலுமி டி.எம்.ஏ.எஸ். சமாரா, அங்குள்ள அந்தப் பயிற்சி சிமுலேட்டர்களைப் புதுப்பித்து மேம்படுத்தும் ஒரு திட்டத்தை மேற்கொண்டார்.

அவர் முக்கியமாகப் பயிற்சி உருவகப்படுத்திகளைச் சரிசெய்து சோதிப்பதிலும், சிறு ஆயுதச் சுடும் பயிற்சி உருவகப்படுத்தியை முழுமையாகப் புதுப்பிப்பதிலும், மற்றும் அதிவேகத் தாக்குதல் விமானப் பயிற்சி உருவகப்படுத்தியில் இருந்த பல தொழில்நுட்பச் சிக்கல்களைச் சரிசெய்வதிலும் கவனம் செலுத்தினார். மேலும், எதிர்காலத்தில் கட்டப்படத் திட்டமிடப்பட்டுள்ள பயிற்சி உருவகப்படுத்திகளுக்குத் தனது தன்னார்வப் பங்களிப்பையும் அவர் உறுதியளித்தார்.

மேலும், ஓய்வுபெற்ற சமரா கட்டளை அதிகாரி, 26 செப்டம்பர் 2026 அன்று அட்மிரல் வசந்த கரன்னகோட பிரதான அரங்கில் பயிற்சி பெறும் மாலுமிகளுக்கு ஊக்கமூட்டும் உரை ஒன்றை ஆற்றினார். உரையின் முடிவில், இலங்கை கடற்படைக்கு அவர் ஆற்றிய மதிப்புமிக்க சேவையைப் பாராட்டி, பயிற்சி கேப்டன் அவருக்கு ஓர் நினைவுப் பரிசை வழங்கினார்.
