THE MERCHANT MARINE TRAINING SCHOOL OF NMA HAS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE STCW BASIC SAFETY AND MARITIME ENGLISH SUPPORT LEVEL COURSE NO.02/2026(O) AND 05/2026(S)

 

The Closing Ceremony of STCW Basic Safety Courses No. 02/2026 (O) and No. 05/2026 (S) was held on 11 Aug 26 at the Mini Auditorium of the Naval & Maritime Academy.

The courses commenced on 13 Jul 26 with the participation of ten (10) officers, including one flag rank officer, twenty-nine (29) senior sailors, and one (01) junior sailor. The training was conducted in compliance with the guidelines of Merchant Shipping Secretariat and the standards prescribed under the STCW Convention.. This training programme plays a significant role in developing competent and qualified naval personnel equipped with the knowledge, skills and competencies required to pursue career opportunities in the merchant shipping industry following their retirement from the Sri Lanka Navy.

Deputy Training Captain, Captain (ASW) Nuwan Ravindranath, attended the occasion as the Chief Guest. During his closing address, he extended his congratulations and best wishes to all officers and sailors who successfully completed the courses.

නාවික හා සාගරික විද්‍යාපීඨයේ වෙළඳ නාවික පුහුණු පාසල මඟින් පවත්වනු ලබන අඛණ්ඩ මුදහැරීමේ සහතිකපත් පාඨමාලා අංක 02/2026 (O) සහ 05/2026 (S) පාඨමාලාවන් සාර්ථකව නිම කරන ලදී

 

අඛණ්ඩ මුදහැරීමේ සහතිකපත් පාඨමාලා අංක 02/2026 (O) සහ 05/2026 (S) පාඨමාලාවන්හි සමාප්ති උත්සවය 2026 අ‍ගෝස්තු මස 11 වන දින නාවික හා සාගරික විද්‍යාපීඨයේ කුඩා ශ්‍රවණාගාරයේදී පවත්වන ලදි.

මෙම පාඨමාලාව 2026 ජුලි මස 13 වන දින ධජ නිලධාරියකු ඇතුළු නිලධාරීන් දහ දෙනෙකු (10) හා ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ නාවිකයින් විසි නවදෙනෙකු (29) සහ එක් කණිෂ්ඨ නාවිකයෙකුගෙන් (01) සහභාගීත්වයෙන් ආරම්භ විය. වෙළඳ නාවික ලේකම් කාර්යාලයේ සහ STCW සම්මුතියේ ප්‍රමිතින් වලට අනුකූලව මෙම පාඨමාලාව පවත්වනු ලැබු අතර, ශ්‍රි ලංකා නාවික හමුදාවෙන් විශ්‍රාම ගැනීමෙන් පසු වෙළඳ නාවික කර්මාන්තයේ වෘත්තිය අවස්ථාවන් ලබා ගැනීමට අවශ්‍ය සුදුසුකම් සහ නිපුණතා සහිත නාවික පුද්ගලයන් බිහි කිරීමෙහි ලා වැදගත් මුලපිරිමක් මෙම පුහුණු වැඩසටහන මඟින් සිදු කරනු ලබයි.

නියෝජ්‍ය පුහුණු කපිතාන්, කපිතාන් (ඒඑස්ඩබ්) නුවන් රවින්ද්‍රනාත් ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ නිලධාරිතුමා ප්‍රධාන ආරාධිත අමුත්තා ලෙස මෙම අවස්ථාවට සහභාගී වූ අතර, ඔහුගේ සමාප්ති දේශණය අතරතුර පාඨමාලාව සාර්ථකව නිම කල සියලුම නිලධාරීන් හා නාවිකයින්හට සුභ පැතුම් එක් කරන ලදි.

தொடர்ச்சியான பணிநீக்கச் சான்றிதழ் பாடநெறிகள் இலக்கம் 02/2026 (O) மற்றும் 05/2026 (S) ஆகியவற்றின் நிறைவு விழா 2026 ஆகஸ்ட் மாதம் 11 ஆம் திகதி கடற்படை மற்றும் கடல்சார் கல்வியகத்தின் சிறிய கேட்போர் கூடத்தில் நடைபெற்றது.

இப்பாடநெறிகள் 2026 ஜூலை மாதம் 13 ஆம் திகதி கொடி அதிகாரி ஒருவரை உள்ளடக்கிய பத்து (10) அதிகாரிகள், இருபத்தொன்பது (29) மூத்த மாலுமிகள் மற்றும் ஒரு (01) இளநிலை மாலுமி ஆகியோரின் பங்கேற்புடன் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டன. இப்பாடநெறிகள் வணிகக் கப்பல் போக்குவரத்து செயலகத்தின் தேவைகள் மற்றும் STCW சமவாயத்தின் கீழ் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ள தரநிலைகளுக்கு அமைவாக நடத்தப்பட்டன. இலங்கை கடற்படையிலிருந்து ஓய்வு பெற்ற பின்னர் வணிகக் கப்பல் போக்குவரத்துத் துறையில் தொழில் வாய்ப்புகளைப் பெறுவதற்குத் தேவையான தகைமைகள், அறிவு, திறன்கள் மற்றும் ஆற்றல்களைக் கொண்ட கடற்படைப் பணியாளர்களை உருவாக்குவதில் இப்பயிற்சித் திட்டம் முக்கிய பங்கு வகிக்கின்றது.

பதில் பயிற்சிக் கப்டன், கப்டன் (ASW) நுவன் ரவீந்திரநாத், சிரேஷ்ட அதிகாரி அவர்கள் இந்நிகழ்வில் பிரதம விருந்தினராகக் கலந்து கொண்டார். அவர் ஆற்றிய நிறைவுரையின் போது, பாடநெறிகளை வெற்றிகரமாக நிறைவு செய்த அனைத்து அதிகாரிகள் மற்றும் மாலுமிகளுக்கும் தனது வாழ்த்துக்களையும் நல்வாழ்த்துக்களையும் தெரிவித்தார்.
