MERCHANT MARINE TRAINING SCHOOL OF NMA HAS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE STCW BASIC SAFETY AND MARITIME ENGLISH (SUPPORT LEVEL) COURSE NO. 04/2026 (S) AT NMA ON 11 JUN 26


The Certificate Awarding Ceremony of the Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) Basic Safety and Maritime English (Support Level) Course No. 04/2026 (S) was held on 11th June 2026 at the Mini Auditorium of the Naval and Maritime Academy. The event was graced by the Officer in Charge of the Merchant Marine Training School, Commander (N) Roshan Kumara.

The STCW Basic Safety course was commenced on 11th May 2026 with the participation of nineteen (19) senior sailors. This course is conducted in accordance with the directives of the Merchant Shipping Secretariat (MSS) and the STCW Convention, and in addition it supports the future aspirations of naval personnel who wish to transition from the Sri Lanka Navy to the merchant maritime sector.

The objective of conducting the STCW Basic Safety course is to provide the theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as the essential training required, to obtain the Continuous Discharge Certificate (CDC) from the MSS.

නාවික හා සාගරික විද්‍යාපීඨයේ වෙළඳ නාවික පුහුණු පාසල මඟින් පවත්වනු ලැබු STCW මූලික ආර‍ක්‍ෂක පාඨමාලා අංක 04/2026 (S) සාර්ථකව අවසන් වීම


නාවික හා සාගරික විද්‍යාපීඨයේ වෙළඳ නාවික පුහුණු පාසල මඟින් පවත්වනු ලැබු STCW මූලික ආරක්‍ෂක පාඨමාලා අංක 04/2026 (S) පාඨමාලාවේ සහතික පත් ප්‍රධාන උත්සවය 2026 ජුනි මස 11 වන දින නාවික හා සාගරික විද්‍යාපීඨයේ කුඩා ශ්‍රවණාගාරයේදී පවත්වන ලදි. උත්සවයේ ප්‍රධාන ආරාධිත අමුත්තා ලෙස වෙළඳ නාවික පුහුණු පාසලේ අණභාර නිලධාරී කොමාණ්ඩර් (මාලිමා) රොෂාන් කුමාර නිලධාරිතුමන් සහභාගි විය.

2026 මැයි මස 11 වන දින ආරම්භ වු මෙම STCW 04/2026 (S) මූලික ආරක්‍ෂක පාඨමාලාව සඳහා ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ නාවිකයන් දහ නවදෙනෙකු (19) සහභාගී විය. වෙළඳ නාවික ලේකම් කාර්යාලයේ සහ STCW සම්මුතියේ ප්‍රමිතින් වලට අනුකූලව මෙම පාඨමාලාව පවත්වනු ලැබු අතර, ශ්‍රි ලංකා නාවික හමුදාවෙන් විශ්‍රාම ගැනීමෙන් පසු වෙළඳ නාවික කර්මාන්තයේ වෘත්තිය අවස්ථාවන් ලබා ගැනීමට අවශ්‍ය සුදුසුකම් සහ නිපුණතා සහිත නාවික පුද්ගලයන් බිහි කිරීමෙහි ලා වැදගත් මුල පිරිමක් මෙම පුහුණු වැඩසටහන මඟින් සිදු කරනු ලබයි.

මෙම පාඨමාලාවේ මුලික අරමුණ වනුයේ සහභාගී වන නාවික පුද්ගලයින් හට වෙළඳ නාවික ලේකම් කාර්යාලය මඟින් ප්‍රධානය කරනු ලබන අඛණ්ඩ මුදාහැරිමේ සහතිය (CDC) ලබා ගැනීමට අවශ්‍ය න්‍යායික හා ප්‍රායෝගික දැනුම ලබා දීමයි.

வின் வணிகக் கப்பல் பயிற்சிப் பள்ளி, STCW அடிப்படைப் பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் கடல்சார் ஆங்கிலம் (துணை நிலை) பாடநெறி எண் 04/2026 (S) 2026 ஜூன் 11 அன்று NMA-வில் வெற்றிகரமாக நிறைவு செய்துள்ளது.


பயிற்சி, சான்றளிப்பு மற்றும் கண்காணிப்புத் தரநிலைகள் (STCW) அடிப்படைப் பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் கடல்சார் ஆங்கிலம் (ஆதரவு நிலை) பாடநெறி எண் 04/2026 (S)-க்கான சான்றளிப்பு விழா, 2026 ஜூன் 11 அன்று கடற்படை மற்றும் கடல்சார் அகாதமியின் மினி கேட்போர் கூடத்தில் நடைபெற்றது. இந்நிகழ்வில் வணிகக் கப்பல் பயிற்சிப் பள்ளியின் பொறுப்பு அதிகாரி, கமாண்டர் (N) ரொஷான் குமார கலந்துகொண்டு சிறப்பித்தார்.

STCW அடிப்படைப் பாதுகாப்புப் பாடநெறியானது, பத்தொன்பது (19) சிரேஷ்ட மாலுமிகளின் பங்கேற்புடன் 2026 மே 11 அன்று தொடங்கப்பட்டது. இந்தப் பாடநெறியானது வணிகக் கப்பல் செயலகம் (MSS) மற்றும் STCW உடன்படிக்கையின் வழிகாட்டுதல்களுக்கு இணங்க நடத்தப்படுகிறது. மேலும், இலங்கை கடற்படையிலிருந்து வணிகக் கப்பல் துறைக்கு மாற விரும்பும் கடற்படைப் பணியாளர்களின் எதிர்கால அபிலாஷைகளுக்கு இது ஆதரவளிக்கிறது.

STCW அடிப்படைப் பாதுகாப்புப் பாடநெறியை நடத்துவதன் நோக்கம், MSS-இடமிருந்து தொடர்ச்சியான வெளியேற்றச் சான்றிதழை (CDC) பெறுவதற்குத் தேவையான கோட்பாட்டு மற்றும் நடைமுறை அறிவையும்,அத்தியாவசியப் பயிற்சியையும் வழங்குவதாகும்.
