CEREMONIALLY COMMENCED THE STCW BASIC SAFETY AND MARITIME ENGLISH SUPPORT LEVEL COURSE NO. 02/2026 (S) AND COURSE NO. 03/2026 (S) AT NMA ON 03 MAR 26.

 

The Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping (STCW) Basic Safety and Maritime English Support Level Course No. 02/2026(S) and Course No. 03/2026(S) ceremonially commenced at the Merchant Marine Training School, Naval and Maritime Academy, on 03 Mar 26. The two (02) courses consist of forty (40) sailors.

The course aims to equip participants with the skills which are necessary to obtain the Continuous Discharge Certificate (CDC) from the Merchant Shipping Secretariat (MSS). This initiative is pivotal for naval personnel seeking second career opportunities after retiring from the Sri Lanka Navy.

Opening remarks of the courses were delivered by Commander (N) Roshan Kumara, the Officer-in-Charge of Merchant Maritime Training School. Also he emphasized the importance and validity of this course in merchant shipping field.

නාවික හා සාගරික විද්‍යාපීඨයේ වෙළද නාවික පුහුණු පාසල මගින් පවත්වනු ලබන අඛණ්ඩ මුදහැරීමේ සහතිකපත් පාඨමාලාව STCW 02/2026 (S) සහ STCW 03/2026 (S) පාඨමාලාව ආරම්භ විම.

 

නාවික හා සාගරික විද්‍යාපීඨයේ වෙළඳ නාවික පුහුණු පාසල මගින් පවත්වනු ලබන STCW 02/2026 (S) සහ STCW 03/2026 (S) පාඨමාලාවන් 2026 මාර්තු මස 03 වන දින වෙළඳ නාවික පුහුණු පාසලේදී ආරම්භ විය. මෙම පාඨමාලාවන් සදහා නාවිකයින් 40 දෙනෙකු සහභාගී වේ.

මෙම පාඨමාලාවේ මුලික අරමුණ වනුයේ සහභාගී වන නාවික පුද්ගලයින් හට වෙළද නාවික ලේකම් කාර්යාලය මගින් ප්‍රධානය කරනු ලබන අඛණ්ඩ මුදාහැරිමේ සහතිය (CDC) ලබා ගැනීමට අවශ්‍ය සම්පූර්ණ න්‍යායික හා ප්‍රායෝගික දැනුම ලබා දීමයි. ශ්‍රී ලංකා නාවික හමුදාවෙන් විශ්‍රාම ගැනීමෙන් පසු වෘත්තීය අවස්ථාවන් වෙත යොමු වන නාවික පුද්ගලයින් හට පිටුවහලක් වීම සඳහා මෙම වැඩසටහන මහගු දායකත්වයක් ලබා දෙයි.

පාඨමාලාවේ ආරම්භය සනිටුහන් කිරිමේ අවස්ථාව සඳහා වෙළඳ නාවික පුහුණු පාසලේ අණභාර නිලධාරි, කොමාණ්ඩර් (මාලිමා) රොෂාන් කුමාර නිලධාරිතුමාගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් පැවැත්වු අතර එහි දී මෙම පාඨමාලාවේ වටිනාකම සහ ලැබිය හැකි අවස්ථා ගැන අවධාරණය කළේය.

STCW அடிப்படை பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் கடல்சார் ஆங்கில ஆதரவு நிலை படிப்பு எண். 02/2026 (S) மற்றும் படிப்பு எண். 03/2026 (S) கடற்படை மற்றும் கடல்சார் அகாடமியில் தொடங்கப்பட்டது.

 

சர்வதேச கப்பல் பணியாளர்கள் பயிற்சி, சான்றிதழ் மற்றும் காவல் தரநிலைகள் மாநாட்டின் (STCW) அடிப்படை பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் கடல்சார் ஆங்கில ஆதரவு நிலை படிப்பு எண். 02/2026(S) மற்றும் படிப்பு எண். 03/2026(S) ஆகியன மார்ச் 03, 2026 அன்று கடற்படை மற்றும் கடல்சார் அகாதமியில் உள்ள வணிகக் கப்பல் பயிற்சிப் பள்ளியில் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டன. இந்த இரண்டு (02) படிப்புகளில் நாற்பது (40) மாலுமிகள் கலந்து கொள்கிறார்கள்.

வணிகக் கப்பல் செயலகத்தில் (MSS) இருந்து தொடர் விடுப்புச் சான்றிதழை (CDC) பெறுவதற்கு தேவையான திறன்களை பங்கேற்பாளர்களுக்கு வழங்குவதே இந்தப் படிப்பின் நோக்கமாகும். இலங்கை கடற்படையில் இருந்து ஓய்வு பெற்ற பின்னர் இரண்டாவது வாழ்க்கை வாய்ப்புகளை நாடும் கடற்படைப் பணியாளர்களுக்கு இந்த முயற்சி மிகவும் முக்கியமானதாகும்.

வணிகக் கடற்படைப் பயிற்சிப் பள்ளியின் பொறுப்பதிகாரியான கமாண்டர் (கடற்படை) ரோஷன் குமார, படிப்புகளின் ஆரம்ப உரையை நிகழ்த்தினார். அப்போது அவர், இந்தப் படிப்புகளின் முக்கியத்துவம் மற்றும் வாய்ப்புகள் குறித்து எடுத்துரைத்தார்.
