OPENING CEREMONY OF OJT COMMUNICATORS’ BASIC ENGLISH COURSE 1/2025 FOLLOWED BY PHASE III COMMUNICATOR QUALIFYING COURSE 1/2025

The opening ceremony of the OJT Communicators’ Basic English course No.1/2025, followed by Phase III Communicator Qualifying course No.1/2025, was successfully held at Communication School of the Naval and Maritime Academy on 10 Mar 25.

The course consists of thirty four (34) sailors. This course mainly focuses on enhancing the English language skills of OJT communicators, prior to the initiation of their Phase III Communicator Qualifying Course. The main objective of this course is to eliminate fear and build confidence in using the English language as a communicators, as well as to transmit basic knowledge on Naval Communication, which is required to perform their duties as professionally competent communicators of the Sri Lanka Navy.

Furthermore, the official opening ceremony of the course was graced by Commander (C) WD Tissera, Officer-in-Charge of the Communication School and Lieutenant Commander (VNF) DMIK Dasanayaka, Officer-in-Charge of the Language School, NMA.
