INSIGNIA AWARDING CEREMONY OF CLEARANCE DIVER III COURSE 01/2024

The Insignia Awarding Ceremony of Clearance Diver III Course 01/2024, reached its climax with a high note on 24th January 2025 at Diving School premises. The ceremony was graced by the Commandant, Naval and Maritime Academy, Rear Admiral Rohan Joseph as the Chief Guest.

Clearance Diver III Course was commenced on 29th July 2024, with fifteen (15) sailors and was terminated on 24th January 2025 with nine (09) sailors on completion of twenty-four (24) weeks of training. Nine (09) trainees were awarded with insignias and OD AGRS Rathnayaka VA 200205 was awarded the ‘Cdr PSK Bahar Memorial Trophy’ for being the ‘Best Diver’ by the Commandant, Naval and Maritime Academy. He congratulated all the course participants on successful completion of their training and emphasized the importance of the Diving Branch, during the conclusion of his address.

During the course, the trainees successfully gained both theoretical and practical knowledge of diving, which helped them build their professionalism in the field. This training shaped them to serve in the Sri Lanka Navy as divers with pride and dignity.
