 OPENING CEREMONY OF RP II QUALIFYING COURSE 04/2024

A group of 30 Radar Plotter sailors joined the Navigation School of the Naval and Maritime Academy on 09th September 2024 to follow the RP II Qualifying Course 04/2024 for a duration of seventeen (17) weeks.

The aim of the RP II Qualifying Course is to impart professional knowledge to RP sailors to discharge their duties as radar operators, perform duties of navigator’s yeomen, tactical communicators’ and plotters’ duties in operations rooms. It also covers the demand, upkeep and maintenance of navigation publications and equipment.

The course will enable them to perform their respective duties effectively and efficiently. The OIC Navigation School addressed the trainees and emphasized the importance of this course to discharge duties as efficient navigator’s yeomen and departmental in-charge duties during future attachments. The Chief Instructor, instructors and divisional team were also present at the event. The course is scheduled  to complete on 08th January 2025.
