OPENING CEREMONY OF PRACTICAL PISTOL SHOOTING COURSE 01/2024.

The Opening Ceremony of the ‘Practical Pistol Shooting’ Course 01/2024 was held successfully at the Naval Marksmanship & Sniper Training School, Naval & Maritime Academy on 22 April 2024.

Practical Pistol Shooting Course 01/2024 comprised 08 Officers, 01 Senior Sailor, and 03 Junior sailors and this training serves for trainees to enhance the proficiency of Sri Lanka Navy officers and sailors in handling side arms, ensuring they are equipped to utilize these weapons effectively in situations where their primary firearm is unavailable. Additionally, to elevate the standards of practical pistol shooting within the Navy for competitive purposes.

Further, the official opening ceremony of the course was graced by Lieutenant Commander (INF) SK Nawalage, the Officer in Charge of the Naval Marksmanship & Sniper Training School.
