Certificates Awarding Ceremony of the 27th Sub Lieutenant Technical Course was held at the Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda Audtorium, Naval and Maritime Academy on 05th October 2023 to mark the culmination of the course. The ceremony was honoured by the Commandant, Naval & Maritime Academy, as the Chief Guest with the participation of the Commodore Superintendent of Logistics (East) and other invitees.
27th Sub Lieutenant Technical Course commenced on 26th September 2022 with the participation of 31 Officers at the Naval and Maritime Academy. The twelve months course programme was categorized into 2 semesters. The objective of this course was to provide theoretical and practical knowledge relevant to the fields of logistics whilst acquiring actual exposure in many areas, to become professionally sound and qualified logistics officers. During the first semester, officers underwent theoretical aspects of naval logistics and other related subjects. The second semester consisted with practical application of naval logistics procedures and outside certificate courses such as Sri Lanka Standards Institute (SLSI), Sri Lanka Institute Development Administration (SLIDA), Chamber of Commerce and Asia Lanka Hotel School. The course enhances the competencies of logistics application in the naval context and augments working capacities in any circumstances.
Certificates were awarded to all course participants as the whole batch successfully completed the course. Further, LT SD Karunasena NRS 4119 and LT RHMJ Nadushika NRS 4485 were awarded with the book prices for the best public speaker and best journal respectively.
