CLOSING CEREMONY OF PRACTICAL PISTOL SHOOTING COURSE 01/2024

The Practical Pistol Shooting Course 01/2024 concluded with a closing ceremony at the Naval Marksmanship & Sniper Training School on 15th May 2024, graced by Lieutenant Commander (INF) BVS Himara, the 2IC Naval Marksmanship & Sniper Training School.

The course commenced on 22nd May 2024, comprising eight (08) Officers, one (01) Senior Sailor, and three (03) Junior Sailors. This course aimed to enhance the proficiency of officers and sailors of the Sri Lanka Navy for handling side arms by ensuring their preparedness to utilize these weapons effectively in challenging situations where primary firearms may be unavailable. Additionally, we sought to elevate the standard of practical pistol shooting within the Navy for operational readiness and competitive endeavors. 

Participants gained valuable skills to enhance their proficiency in practical pistol shooting. Certificates were awarded to signify the successful completion of the course. At the closing ceremony, LCdr BVS Himara delivered closing remarks praising the participants’ dedication and emphasizing the importance of their acquired skills.
