At the invitation of Commandant NMA, Commodore Rohan Joseph, the opening ceremony was graced by Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Kanchana Banagoda, as the Chief Guest.<\/p><p>The sailing regatta, hosted under the directives of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera, is attended by 22 officer under trainees from Naval Academies in China, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka and the competition is supported by the Yachting Association of Sri Lanka (YASL).<\/p><p>The events of the competition will be held from 19<sup>th<\/sup> to 21<sup>st<\/sup> August in the alluring waters of Sandy Bay, Trincomalee. The event will showcase the strong camaraderie and sportsmanship among the participating nations, promising an exciting experience. It also presents an excellent opportunity to attract tourists to the country&#8217;s aquatic sports
