In order to break the shackles of restricting course participants (CPs) to classroom instructions, Long Logistics Management Course (LLMC) No 06 conducted leadership exercise in continuity to develop their of leadership qualities as one of the prime training objectives of NMA. Accordingly, two days of practical exposure with training exercise was conducted at Naval Agriculture and Livestock Project (NALP) on 30 to 31 July 2021 aiming at providing an opportunity to develop leadership and teamwork of CPs under supervision of Course Coordinator LCdr (S) WNTL Wickrammarachchi psc.

These two days exercise was designed to provide an opportunity for all CPs to practice the process of decision-making, team building and Situation handling.Then leadership exercises were conducted at 1500hrs at camping site onNALP with assistance of Combat Training School staffon completion of the brisk walk from Vilankulam junction To NLAP of 11.1 km. Commandant Naval and Maritime Academy Commodore HGUD Kumara, USP,psc participated to witness the event.

Interaction session including entertainment programme wasarranged at 1930hrs on the same day. This event wasdignified by the presence of CN &MA as the Chief Guest with Deputy Training Captain and other senior officers of the academy. The night was themed under ‘THOVILAYA’ and allowed CPs show their talents as entertainers.

The two days of exercise was culminated by marchingup to Diversion Point from NLAP on the following day morning. Throughout the exercise, CPs had the opportunity to broaden their knowledge on the water supply system to Naval Dockyard while attending for many events to develop their leadership and teamwork skills.
