"SPEAK ON LIFE LESSONS OF 34 YEARS OF NAVAL CAREER BY RADM YMGB JAYATHILAKA"

The Flag Officer Commanding Naval Fleet Rear Admiral YMGB Jayathilaka addressed the Officers in Eastern Naval Command on 07th April 2021 at Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda Auditorium, Naval and Maritime Academy. Commander Eastern Naval Area, Deputy Area Commander, Commandant and all the faculty members were also present at the occasion where he shared the insights of his naval career under the theme of ‘Speak on Life Lessons of 34 Year Naval Career’.

During the session, he discussed how he has progressed his naval life since he joined the Sri Lanka Navy and salient aspects of his naval career spanning over 34 years in the Service. He shared his personal experiences and unforgettable memories in the Navy for Young Officers to take a note for their self-development.

Further, RAdm Jayathilaka was generous enough to share valuable advices for the young officers and Officer Under Trainees (OUT) to fulfil their aspirations in their future naval career. He, by quoting few examples, advised that young officers and OUT should continuously maintain the positive attitude towards uplifting their knowledge and skills even though it is not measured by higher authority at the initial stages.

In recognition of valuable speech, a token of memento was presented to Rear Admiral YMGB Jayathilaka by the Commander Eastern Naval Area Rear Admiral YN Jayarathne accompanied by the Commandant, Naval and Maritime Academy.
