ABOUT US

The Provost & Regulating School is the place where moulds future Provost Officers and Sailors to meet up SLN requirements. The provost personnel to be exampled to others and to maintain naval good order and discipline of naval personnel round the clock. To achieve these goals the Directing Staff of the school is ready in all respect to train both OUTs and SUTs.

Further all Under Trainees are provided with class rooms, model room, interrogation room and library. Moreover school is conducting all practical related to the branch and conducting classroom instructions on Investigations, Interrogations, Security & Intelligence, Provost & Crime and Ceremonial Duties to broaden provost under trainees’ horizons.

Our determination is to produce professionally competent, physically fit and mentally sound provost personnel to Sri Lanka Navy in order to perform entrusted role and task of Provost & Regulating Branch.

To provide well disciplined, knowledgeable, efficient, tactically sound and comprehensive Provost Officers and Sailors to the service by providing theoretical and practical knowledge in order to maintain discipline and good order of Sri Lanka Navy.

  • Conducting subject modules of Criminal Investigation and interrogation, Advanced Security and Intelligence, Forensic Science, Criminology, Motor Traffic Disciplines, Drugs and Law enforcement for the Student Officers of Provost Sub Lieutenant Technical Course.

  • The aim of this course is to impart advancedknowledge and skillsrequired for a senior sailor to perform the Provost duties effectively within the SLN.

  • To impart a thorough professional knowledge and ability in working procedure andother miscellaneous aspects associated with the field of Naval Provost.To assist in briefingthe command of current Naval Provost procedure in SLN.To consider this course as aPrerequisitefor the advancement to the rate of Leading Provost.

  • The aim of this course is to train phase III NavalProvost withnecessary Professional knowledge to be advanced to Able seamanrate (Provost andRegulating) and to enable them with required confidence toperform duties of the Provost branch ofSri Lanka Navy.

  • Provide professional knowledge for Junior Detectives in the field of Crime Detection.

  • To provide professional knowledge in the field of interview and interrogation.

  • The purpose of this course is to impart advancedknowledge and skills required for a Junior Sailor to perform the Provost duties effectively, refreshing existing professional knowledge and inculcating attitudes and positive thinking.

  • The purpose of this course is to impart advanceknowledge and skills required for a senior sailor to perform the Provost duties effectively, refreshing existing professional knowledge and inculcating attitude and positive thinking.

  • The aim of this course is to impart advancedknowledge in the field ofTraffic Accidents and Investigations in order to enhance the knowledge which is required for carrying out respective branch duties of Provost & Regulating in an effective and efficient manner.
