CLEARANCE DIVER III COURSE


Eligibility:

  • Less than 24 years.
  • Above average swimming proficiency.
  • Unmarried.
  • Standard are as per Seaman enlistment and service regulations for Regular Naval Force.
  • Passing 06 subjects in GCE (O/L) examination including Science and Mathematics.
  • Outcome:

  • To qualify practical diving using open circuit SCUBA (Air), close circuit (oxygen) and surface supply diving apparatus up to maximum depths of 40 MSW, 10 MSW and 40 MSW respectively.
  • Enable to conduct clearance diving tasks as a diver; tender, stand by diver and record keeper in a diving team.
  • Course Content:

  • Duration of the course is 24 weeks and it commences on the second week of January and the first week of July.
  • Activity Time
    Diving medical examination, RCC dive, Oxygen Tolerance Test and Joining/Leaving Routine. 01 week
    Instructional classes and Practical diving Examination/Re examination. 19 weeks
    Programme Leave 04 weeks

  • To qualify sailors in diving and absorb them to the Diving branch in SLN.

    Uniform:

  • All the uniform items provided by the Navy have to be taken during the training period by the trainees. In addition,a long sleeve shirt, black trousers, pair of civil black shoes, black belt, Personal swimming goggles and swimming inner west along with their uniforms.
  • Accommodation:

  • Suitable accommodation is provided within the NMA premises.
